Anyone with a website can make money with Google just by adding Google Adsense!

On applying for Google Adsense, Google will check out your site. If your website is deemed suitable Google will email to let you know you can feature Google Adsense. Basically Google is looking for content rich sites and will not tolerate sites which promote violence, sites which have been built exclusively to promote Adsense, themes of an adult nature, war themes etc. Most sites will be accepted within a few weeks for the Adsense scheme and once approved you are ready to make money with Google. Some sites will be rejected, remember, your site needs to have content related to what advertisers are willing to pay for. It also makes sense to have a knowledge and preferably a passion for the subject matter in your site

Once accepted to make money with Google it is a simple matter of copying and pasting a piece of HTML code into your site. Websites that advertise ready made Adsense sites for sale should be avoided at all costs. Google no longer tolerates made for Adsense sites and you risk having your account terminated.

The ads provided by Google come from advertisers who have paid for advertising via Adwords. Google does limit the amount of Adsense ads you can put on each page of your website but it is a pretty effective way of earning some extra money.

As expected of one of the most popular search engines, they are aware that some people may be tempted to click on their own ads to earn extra money. Never, ever be tempted to click on an ad yourself or even ask friends or family to do it from their computer. Google has a very sophisticated tracking system and can tell if fraudulent activity is taking place and your account will be banned without further explanation. Once an account is banned it is unlikely to ever be reinstated and all monies earned will be returned to the advertisers - this applies whether you have $25 in your account or $2500. Google also does not allow you to encourage clicks on your ads by having words such as 'click here' or 'visit our sponsors' You are not even allowed to have a photo beside the ads which could draw attention to them

Some participants in the scheme regularly earn a five figure income each month but to be quite honest, five figure sums are not generally to be expected, unless you have thousands of visitors per day visiting your site and a subject which attracts high paying ads but it is possible to build up a decent income from Adsense.

The main requirement to making a decent income from Google Adsense is to have plenty of good, original information on your website. I try to add at least one page a week to my websites. Each new page features Google Adsense and the more content rich your website is the more chance you have of attracting visitors.  

It is important that you choose a subject you have an interest in, as mentioned in my e-books page, if you have no interest in your subject you can never expect a visitor to your site to have an interest.

Google Adsense can also be inserted into blogs so you don't even have the start up costs associated with a website, i.e, hosting, domain name purchase etc. Many free web building sites are also not suitable as they already have there own ads on your website. However, if you purchase a domain name for a few dollars or pounds the free sites ads are removed and you can then put your own Adsense ads in place. All of my sites, including this one, were originally built using a free server but domain names were purchased once the site was finished, it has a far more professional look plus your site has a short and snappy name as opposed to a name that starts with your freeservers name and then yours at the end.

The more interesting, content rich pages you can add to your website the more chance you have of people finding your site through a search engine, which obviously means your chances of a visitor clicking on an Adsense ad are maximised.

 Adsense is really a great way to make extra money on the internet so long as you play by the rules!
