The internet boom has provided a money making opportunity for everyone, no matter what their age or level of computer knowledge, almost anyone can make money from the computer . The downside is it has also provided scam merchants with the means to enter your living room and con you into parting with your hard earned cash in return for some useless e-book or video, 'only costing $95!!'. There are some genuine ways to make money from the computer out there but it is best always to be wary and thoroughly check out every company you are considering paying money to .

Ebay offers the opportunity for everyone to earn extra cash. Whether it be a few pounds every once in a while or hundreds of pounds every week. There are many ordinary, everyday folk who started off using Ebay just to make a few extra quid or dollars, but who quickly saw the potential to make serious money.

Amazon now offers so much more than the opportunity to buy and sell books. One housewife now earns £15,000+ per annum selling books on Amazon! What started off as little more than pin money soon turned into a profitable business. Her work day consists of visiting second hand book stores, charity shops and boot sales where she picks up second hand books for a few pence, lists them on Amazon - with the price marked up, then waits for the substantial Amazon paycheck to be deposited into her bank account. Amazon pays towards packaging, so it is easy to make a profit of, say, £5.00 on each book. One hundred books = £500 profit.

You need no web building expertise as Amazon provides a ready made website for you. All you need to do is apply to Amazon to become an affiliate, decide on the name of your store and what you would like to sell and within minutes of applying you have your own internet business up and running.

Google Adsense. You may never have heard of Google Adsense but if you already have a website or blog you should seriously consider applying to Google for consideration into the Adsense scheme. Google places ads on your site and you make money on the internet each time anyone clicks on an ad. After applying Google will check out your website or blog and send you an email with their decision. This could take anything from a few hours up to a few days. If accepted,  you simply follow the link on the email to Adsense Set Up then copy and paste a few bits of code into your page. Instantly Google ads which are relevant to the content of your site will appear on the pages to which you have applied the Adsense code and you will be paid by Google each time someone visits your site and clicks on an ad.
Do Not be tempted to click on your own ads or ask friends and family to do it for you. Google has sophisticated tracking equipment in place and will ban you immediately if they suspect click fraud plus they will keep every dollar you have earned and return it to the advertisers. It is just not worth the risk of losing all the money you have accrued, and in almost all cases you have no right to appeal against the decision. Google guidelines are quite strict but it is of the utmost importance to adhere to the TOS rigidly to prevent being banned. Many entrepreuneurs have turned their Google ads into a million dollar/pound business, Michael Cheney being one of them. This guy consistently earns just under £20,000 per week from Adsense revenue and owns only has a handful of sites.

Website Presence. Did you know that anyone, including you can have a money making website? You need no specialist knowlege nowadays and you need not have anything to sell. If you have a hobby or special interest which you enjoy talking about and are well versed on, you can build a website, insert adsense code and maybe even add an Amazon store. Too many people nowadays have websites which are basically just pages of adverts. I for one, just leave those sites immediately. I don't have the time or inclination to sift through page after page of advertising material. The secret is to add informative, interesting content to your pages, this is the only way you will keep visitors attention, plus content rich pages help you to be recognised by the search engines. Lets say, for instance, fishing is your hobby. Why not get a website or even a blog up and running with informative articles on fishing and best places to fish. Add an Amazon store featuring fishing books, fishing dvd's and maybe even books on camping. Don't forget to add your Google ads to maximise your sites money making potential. A weekly, bi weekly or monthly newsletter will keep your visitors interest and have them keep on coming back to visit your site. Use your computer to print up business cards with your website address, talk to everyone you meet about your website. The important thing is to publicise the fact that you have an online presence. There is no point in having a great looking site if no-one knows it is there. The more visitors you have to your site, the more chance of someone clicking on an ad or buying something from your Amazon Store. You don't even have to write your own articles, there are many articles published on the internet that are not subject to copyright or have out of date copyright, simply copy and paste the chosen article into your own website or blog.
Remember, if you have a hobby that interests you then there are millions of people that have the same interest who will be keen to visit as many sites on the subject as they can.
